If you search “Is Glucosamine and Chondroitin sulfate really effective?” the first thing that comes up is: Chondroitin sulfate and Glucosamine are popular supplements used to treat the pain and loss of function associated with osteoarthritis (OA).

Studies
According to studies conducted by the late Dr. Lucille Hurley at UC Davis, research has indicated that all animals diagnosed and tested for dermatological conditions have one thing in common, and that is a deficiency of zinc in the diet. Dosage and Administration
Directions for use: Shake well before using. Pour and mix dose into food or feed directly. Adult dogs: One teaspoon (5ml) per 20 pounds of weight per day.
Puppies, Pregnant of Nursing Mothers: One teaspoon (5ml) per 10 pounds of body weight per day.
